We are looking for a MySQL DBA with production Internet experience. You are interested in MySQL scaling challenges? We've been experiencing exponential growth, so this is the place for you.
Your focus will be on design, performance optimization, and deployment automation.
You will work with the developers on queries and feature implementation, and will work with the other team on the deployment, management, configuration, and failover of our high-performance, highly redundant database infrastructure.

Education:
BA/BS in computer science or related field or 3+ years of equivalent industry experience.
Required Skills:
- Solid tuning experience with MySQL
- Understanding of DB replication, backup, recovery, and optimization techniques
- Understanding of how high volume can affect database availability and table design
- Understanding of Linux systems administration
- Prior experience developing website software using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP)
- A desire to work in a fast-paced Web environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and drive projects to completion
- Experience with at least one scripting language
