So we choose to include an API into TextCu.be. The API will be available on launch date along with full documentation and SDKs. Now you're probably asking yourself, what is an API and why do I care? Well on to the fun part.
Our API will let third parties to directly interface into TextCu.be and deliver messages securely to your TextCu.be. This system will require your explicit approval for every third party. No one will be able to send you messages without your approval and you can block anyone at any time.
Imagine being able to receive very important emails based on filters you set up, doctor appointment reminders, security system alerts and updates from your boss (well maybe not, but it's possible). With our API companies like Yahoo Mail, Kaiser Permanente and ADT Home Security will be able to send you messages knowing that you will receive it instantly wherever you are.
We are already working with a few select companies that will have their TextCu.be service available at launch. Many more companies will develop their interface once we launch. The amazing part of all this is the unified and highly reliable and secure system. When someone sends you a message to your TextCu.be they never have to worry about whether your phone number changed, whether you can receive text messages or even whether you have service.
